the TWITTERING machine

I have been revisiting some OLD memories tonight from a girlhood spent paintings and spinning on a wheel in adamp basement studio in Buffalo New York with atangelo orange shag rug & cold cement walls.
Summers whendayyyys werespent museum-hoPping with my beautifulartist mother.  I was remembering thestark white walls of the Albrite Knox museum where she would walk with the purpose and certainty of a womanwho could educate theworld about anypainting orsculpture you so much glanced at, and I wandered with lighttoes and a deep curiosity while I tried to absorb herknowledge via some form of art osmosis. As she clickady clacked down the halls of whatevermuseum we were in, in whatever awesome sparkly shoes she was rocking at the time, my eyes never stopped bouncing from one painting to another. a Victor Vasarely that made me dizzy,an elegant Degas in the center of an otherwise emptyroom, to the high strung female guard combing the shuffling room with nervous eyes darting from one dormant camera bag to the next.

I fell in love with a few little masterpieces during those years, and  I was trying to remember the name of an old favourite of mine, and, when it dawned on me a minute ago, it gave me a niiiiiice littlebelly giggle...

a madman races through the streets of Paris ...

In One of my ALL TIME favourite videos, documentary film maker Claude Lelouch filmed himself as he RACED his Mercedes-Benz 450sel 6.9  through the streets of Paris. Titled C'était un rendez-vous and released for a public viewing in 1976, Lelouch was arrested upon the film's release, and you'll see why...
I love the birds around 8 minutes...
the man behind the wheel is MAD, & oh what a fabulous dress on a beautiful girl waiting for him at the FINISH LINE...lucky duck . .  .   .
oh, and the sounds in the film are not his lil' Benzo, Lelouch dubbed the sound effects of a Ferrari 275GTB over the purrr of his own engine :)

Listening to: Garbage trucks n' school buses make their rounds outside...and someone trimming their hedges...
Drinking: coconut water
Thinking about: the strange dreams I had last night about my girlfriend Allison tricking me into smoking some weird drug that made me see Dr Seuss birds flying in the sky...

LOVE me some rad lil' postcards. Check out these fantabulous designs from a group of ladies from Melbourne; I feel like I would instantly love any letter sent to me on a postcard that looked like this. Even if it was from a girlfriend telling me:

"ummmm...this is a hard letter to write mama, but... I left your GOLD YSL wedges on the L train after drinking FAR too much champagne on New Years. I couldn't bear to tell you in person, so I am writing you this letter. My feet hurt so badly, so I took them off to put on my travel ballet slippers that were rolled up in my little bag-& then...I just forgot them there...all alone on the train, they sped off in a hurry into the unknown before I could get back on to grab em'...I'm SO sorry Al!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
...I feel as if these images delivering such a message might soften the blow:
